AngMar Management Services says hackers stole patient personal and health information from its systems, affecting 126,196 people. The Texas company, which supports home health and hospice providers, detected suspicious activity in mid-July and confirmed in early September that data was taken. Stolen information includes Social Security numbers, diagnosis and medical history details, insurance data, prescription information, provider names, and dates of service; Interlock later claimed the theft on its leak site.
Why it matters: This exposed highly sensitive medical and identity data that can fuel fraud, impersonation, and extortion. Patients and partner providers should treat related calls and emails with caution and monitor for misuse of medical and financial information.
